Shortly after the official announcement of the 8 Megapixel Samsung Innov8 smartphone, another high-end camera handset from the South Korean company has surfaced. Named Samsung i7110, the new phone is not yet confirmed by the world's second largest handset manufacturer, as it only appeared in several leaked pictures.

However, the available images allow us to have a good look at the new i7110. The phone comes in a candybar form factor and has a metallic case which makes it quite attractive. Overall, the design of Samsung i7110 is a mix of Nokia and Sony Ericsson - but that is not a bad thing.

Not all the features packed in i7110 were unveiled, so we can only present few of them: a 5 Megapixel camera with xenon flash and auto focus, a 240 x 320 pixels display with 262K colors, optical mouse, Bluetooth, Music player, FM radio and expandable memory. It's not clear yet whether the new Samsung runs on Symbian (as the Innov8 slider) or not. Moreover, the dimensions of i7110 are not known, but the device seems to be quite slim, which is not a surprising aspect for a Samsung candybar.

For the moment, there are no details about the availability of Samsung i7110. Its price is another mystery, but with specs like the above-mentioned ones, the handset is surely bound to be an expensive one.

The bottom line is that Samsung is really acting like a leading mobile manufacturer: the South Korean company keeps on rolling out high-end phones one after another. The latest examples, besides the Innov8, are the F480 and the i900 Omnia, both of them being touchscreen devices that pack a 5 Megapixel camera and lots of other advanced features.

The new i7110 might not be comparable to Omnia or F480, bit it's still a handset that can surely lure lots of mobile users.
