Mobile phone maker Samsung Mobile and wireless carrier T-Mobile USA have announced today the release of two new messaging phones on the operator's airwaves, namely Samsung Comeback (SGH-t559) and Samsung Gravity 2 (SGH-t469). Both handsets come towards T-Mobile's customers with full QWERTY keyboards, quick access to the Web and support for the carrier's 3G network.

The Samsung Comeback features a side-flip form factor, a stylish design and two color versions, pearl white plum and frost silver cherry. The new mobile phone offers fast access to e-mail and text, picture, video and instant messaging. The device also includes a 2-megapixel photo snapper, social networking connectivity, MP3 player and memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space.

The Samsung Gravity 2 comes as the successor of the already popular Samsung Gravity, and sports a horizontal, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, as well as a thinner body. It comes in two colors as well, namely berry mauve and metallic pumpkin, and boasts a 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, as well as enhanced messaging capabilities, MP3 player and support for up to 16GB of additional storage space.

“Our customers send and receive a lot of text messages, therefore it’s important that we offer phones that compliment the way our customers communicate,” said Wendy Pinero-DePencier, vice president, brand and calendar marketing, T-Mobile USA. “We’re excited to be working with Samsung on these two new messaging phones, the Samsung Comeback and Samsung Gravity 2.”

The two handsets will be added to T-Mobile's messaging phone offering that already includes the Samsung t349 (SGH-t349), a candybar that sports a 20-key, partial QWERTY keypad, along with easy access to email, instant messaging, and picture, video and text messaging. In addition, the device also includes a variety of multimedia features.

While the Samsung Comeback is already available on T-Mobile stores as of today, the Gravity 2 is expected to arrive with the carrier only in August. The price tag for the Comeback has been set at$129.99 with a 2-year contract agreement, while the t349 goes for $14.99 with a 2-year deal. More details on the availability of the handsets can be found on the carrier's website.
