South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has announced a partnership with Swarovski for the launch of a new, limited Edition version of the Galaxy Note 3 handset.

The new model will sport a cover encrusted with Swarovski crystals, and it is set to be officially showcased at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week FW14 (MBFW) in New York.

Apparently, the two companies plan on launching the new Limited Edition Galaxy Note 3 smartphone in three different color versions, namely Jet Black, a custom blend of Crystal Bermuda Blue and Crystal Metallic Light Gold, and Crystal Metallic Silver, SamMobile reports.

The only things that haven’t been announced as of now are when exactly the new device flavor will become available for purchase and what price tag it will feature.

“At Samsung, we embrace the creativity of fashion and enable it through our technology,” Young Hee Lee, executive vice president of Samsung, commented on the launch.

“Together with Swarovski, we’re celebrating that creativity with a specially-designed backstage lounge and a limited-edition custom cover for one of our latest smartphones during this season’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.”

“The gorgeous, Swarovski crystal-covered cover adds a glamorous touch to the beautifully designed Galaxy Note 3 to make it the must-have device this MBFW,” Young Hee Lee also said.

The new Limited Edition Galaxy Note 3 is expected to feature the same hardware specifications and capabilities as the original model, which became official in September last year.

Thus, users will enjoy a 5.7-inch touchscreen display on this phone, along with a quad-core processor inside it and 3GB of RAM.

Galaxy Note 3 also features a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with LED Flash and full HD video recording, and a front camera for video calling.

Moreover, the smartphone packs all the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors, while being powered by a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery. Samsung has launched the phone with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but it is upgrading it to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
