All the mobile phone users around the world will soon be able to quickly and easily access Google products and services directly through their
Samsung mobile phone. Samsung and Google have announced their partnership at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas aiming to provide their customers with Samsung mobile phones equipped with Google applications.
Users have already had the change to see a Samsung mobile phone with an embedded
Internet browser and Google mobile services. The Samsung Ultra Edition 13.8 (SGH-Z720) 3G phone featuring a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA support, MP3 player and Bluetooth for connectivity, provides users, among other things, with a rich mobile Internet experience.
Samsung phones, known for their easy-to-use UI, go perfectly with Google's services, that in the end aim to provide the same enjoyable and easy way to browse the Internet. Apart from the Z720, other future Samsung models will also come with Google applications, due to the consumers' large demand for cell phones that offer trouble-free Internet access.
According to Samsung, selected phones will be provided with the
Google products and services including Google search, Google Maps for mobile and Gmail for mobile devices. Expect such phones to pop up in early 2007.
"We are very thrilled to introduce Samsung mobiles with one-click access to Google services. Our cooperation with Google exemplifies our commitment to leading the evolution from the fixed-Internet era to a mobile Internet era and ushering in a ubiquitous world where mobile enables our consumers to access information about anything, anywhere, anytime," said Kitae Lee, President of Samsung's Telecommunication Network Business. "Samsung and Google will enhance users' mobile experience with a powerful, yet easy-to-use handset with simple access to information and personal management."
