It's already common knowledge that Samsung plans to concentrate more on tablets in 2014. Last month, we also brought you news that the Korean tech giant will be rolling out some AMOLED display tablets in the year to come.

Sammy hasn’t released any AMOLED slates ever since the advent of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 so the news got a lot of people excited. Now a new report coming out of Asia, via Naver, offers more details about Samsung’s plans in this department.

According to the information, Sammy is not wasting any time and is already hard at work on 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED display tablets. More than that, the upcoming devices will probably be unveiled along with the Galaxy S5.

Samsung will use the AMOLED displays to produce tablet competitors for the iPad and the iPad mini, while the budget mid-range Sammy tablet range will continue to make-do with regular LCD displays.

AMOLED screens don’t necessitate backlighting and the technology allows for unneeded pixels to be turned off in order to preserve tablet life, so we’re excited to see the end results.
