Leaked last month, Samsung SHW-M190S has just been officially introduced in South Korea and will be available through SK Telecom. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S Hoppin, this looks like another version of the popular Galaxy S smartphone

The phone was labeled as Galaxy S Hoppin due to the integration of carrier's Hoppin service, which allows users to watch multimedia content on their TV, PC or directly on the phone.

“Connecting the new smartphone to the TV will turn the phone into a set-top box, which allows streaming content saved on the phone to be displayed on larger TV screens,” stated SK Telecom.

“As they leave the living room, consumers can pick up the movie where they left off on smartphones or other devices.”

SK Telecom plans to offer around 3,500 movies, TV shows and music videos initially, and later expand the list to 10,000. According to the carrier, one movie will be priced between 1,000 won ($0.89) and 3,500 won ($3.13).

Galaxy S Hoppin is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.2 . It comes with a large 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, DLNA support and a dedicated cradle that allows users to connect the phone to a TV.

The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel camera, GPS with A-GPS support, T-DMB, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

Spotted a few months back, Samsung Wave II, also known as SHW-M210S, will be launched in South Korea by the end of the month.

Samsung officials have already confirmed that Wave II is expected to be released in January.

Samsung Wave II is powered by a 1GHz CPU and runs on Samsung's bada 1.2 platform. It comes with a 3.7-inch SuperClear LCD screnn, GPS with A-GPS support, DMB, Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Other highlights of the bada phone inlcude a 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording, DLNA (Allshare) function, as well as 3.5mm headphone jack.
