bada, the mobile operating system that Samsung Electronics announced officially at the end of 2009, should soon arrive on the market on some new handsets from the South Korean mobile phone maker, and the newly leaked Samsung Wave 833 might be one of them.

Apparently, Samsung would plan on making this device available for purchase for the mid-market segment, while bringing it to shelves with the bada 1.2 operating system on board.

When compared to the original Samsung Wave, as well as with the Wave II smartphone, the hardware specifications of this handset would be a little lower, but that might be expected.

However, although the guys over at Phone-OS claim that this would indeed be a Wave smartphone that Samsung plans on bringing to the market in the near future, SamFirmware suggests that it might not be real.

We'll take the info on this allegedly upcoming bada OS-based Samsung Wave 833 with a grian of salt for the time being, and we'll keep an eye on the news to learn whether it would indeed pan out or not.

In the meantime, we should note that the rumored specifications of this device would include a 3.5-inch Super AMOLED + touchscreen display, along with a 5-megapixel photo snapper that would pack auto focus and LED flash.

Other specs of the handset would include an 800 MHz S3C6410 application processor, complemented by 448 MB of RAM and 150 MB of internal memory. The Samsung Wave 833 should come with a microSD memory card slot too, with support for up to 32 GB of expandable memory.

At the same time, the smartphone should also come with WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options, as well as with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

No other details are available on the smartphone for the time being, but more on it might be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, so keep an eye on this space for additional info on it.
