South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has just announced the release of a new handset that would run under its bada operating system, the Samsung Wave 723.

This would be the fourth device the company brings to the market with its new operating system on board, following the launch of the original Wave, along with Wave 2 and Wave Pro.

According to the news on the new Samsung Wave 723, the mobile phone maker would plan on delivering it to the market at a lower price tag than Samsung Wave, but priced a little higher than the other two devices are.

However, it seems that the company did not offer a complete specifications list on this device for the time being, though it might not be too long before it does so.

What it known so far on this handset includes a crystal clear 3.2-inch TFT-LCD display with touch capabilities, which is protected by a flip leather cover.

At the same time, the new device comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and a dedicated camera button, and with Samsung Apps support, in addition to packing the Social Hub solution from the handset vendor.

The specifications list of this device also includes Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options, as well as a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

For what it's worth, the handset seems to be a nice addition to the company's series of Wave devices, one that should offer the bada OS to the mainstream level of the market.

According to the mobile phone maker, the new Samsung Wave 723, aka Samsung GT-S7320E, is based on the bada SDK 1.1, which has Auto-UI scaling features (currently, only the bada SDK 1.0 is available).

It seems that the new version of bada SDK should offer developers the possibility to easily port existing applications.

The new Samsung Wave 723 is expected to land on the market in September in Germany, and should arrive in more European markets soon after, as well as in Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, and Africa.
