14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung has just announced the upcoming availability of its three new bada phones, the Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y.
While Samsung Wave 3 will be available beginning next month from MTS carrier, the Wave M and Wave Y will go live at Euroset by the end of the year.
bada phones have been surprisingly successful in Russia, as the Korean handset manufacturer has just announced it owns 46% market share in Russia (44% bada phones), which puts it in pole position.
Russian customers will be able to purchase the Samsung Wave 3 exclusively from MTS for 16,990 rubles ($557 or 400 EUR), whereas the Wave M and Wave Y can be ordered via Euroset carrier for 9,990 rubles ($328 or 235 EUR) and 6,490 rubles ($213 or 153 EUR), respectively.
Unveiled back in August, the Wave 3 is Samsung's bada flagship smartphone and comes with a large 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass display.
The device runs Samsung's bada 2.0 operating system and packs a powerful single core 1.4 GHz processor, along with 3 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
In addition, the Wave 3 sports a 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
The other two bada phones, Wave M and Wave Y are mid-range smartphones that run the same bada 2.0 platform.
Each are equipped with an 832 MHz processor and pack 150 MB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included).
However, while the Wave M comes with a 3.65-inch capacitive multi-touch display, the Wave Y features a slightly smaller 3.2-inch display.
Furthermore, the Wave M sports a better 5-megapixel camera, whereas the Wave Y embeds a 2-megapixel camera module.
All three bada phones come pre-loaded with Samsung's ChatON messaging service.
