Samsung has recently unveiled two new handsets in its home country (South Korea): SCH-W460 and SPH-W3300. Neither of the new phones brings too advanced features; thus, they are targeted for users who are happy only with low to mid end devices.

The first handset, Samsung SCH-W460 (or simply Samsung W460) is a clamshell that should be pretty soon released via SK Telecom, the largest mobile operator in South Korea. The W460 brings the following: GSM and WCDMA connectivity, a 2 inch internal display with 176 x 220 pixels, an external display with only 96 x 96 pixels, Bluetooth, Music and Video players, a 1.3 camera with video recording, 26MB of internal memory and microSD card support.

Samsung W460 weighs 104 grams and, when not flipped, it measures 99 x 49.5 x 16.5 millimeters. The 880 mAh packed in the clamshell should provide up to 6.8 hours of talk-time or up to 295 hours of stand-by time.

The W460 will hit the market in at least two colors versions (silver and blue), for a price that is currently not know.

The other new Korean phone is the SPH-W3300 (or Samsung W3300). Unlike the W460, this one is a slider that should be offered by KTF, South Korea's second largest mobile carrier. Feature-wise, Samsung W3300 offers a 2 inch TFT display with 260K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, GSM and WCDMA connectivity, M-commerce applications, Music Player, Bluetooth a 1.3 Megapixel camera and so on. The W3300 weighs 96 grams and measures 100 x 47 x 15.8 millimeters (when closed, of course).

Besides the metallic silver version seen in the available image, Samsung W3300 will also be released in purple, blue and green. Of course, like in the case of the W460 clamshell, the retail price of Samsung W3300 is not known for the moment.
