Wireless carrier Cricket is on its way to bring to the market a new mobile phone that would offer support for their Muve Music, one that would be manufactured by Samsung, some of the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Called Samsung Vitality, the new mobile phone is reportedly similar with the Samsung Admire handset that arrived on shelves at MetroPCS not too long ago.

The new handset is reportedly based on Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with no specific customization from the manufacturer loaded on it.

It should be released on Cricket's airwaves with support for the Muve Music service, thus becoming the second handset at the carrier to offer the feature, following the launch of Samsung Suede feature phone a while back.

The specifications list of Samsung's Vitality is somehow similar with the one available for the company's Samsung Admire.

Those who will purchase the new mobile phone will enjoy an 800MHz application processor inside it, still capable of offering a decent experience when coupled with Gingerbread.

Moreover, the new device will also sport a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, capable of boasting an HVGA resolution, as well as a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for video recording too.

Other specifications usually associated with Android phones should also be included into the mix, such as support for 3G connectivity, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.

Moreover, the new mobile phone should arrive on shelves with a microSD memory card slot for expanding the available internal memory, as well as with a 3.5mm headphone jack. A built-in GPS receiver might be on that list as well.

No specific info on the release date or pricing for this device is known for the time being, but rumor has it that it might be associated with a $65 per month cost, which might seem a lot for some.

However, the said service from Cricket will be there too, offering fast access to unlimited song downloads, ringtones and more.
