Just a couple of days after we learned that updating 830-series SSDs to Samsung’s latest firmware could make such drives undetectable to the system, the outfit released a new FW to solve these issues.

The new firmware release, which is dubbed CXM03B1Q, is pretty much identical to the previous version, but according to AnandTech the compatibility of the update tool was improved.

What this means for 830-series SSD users is that the drive should no longer become undetectable by the system after the firmware is updated to the latest version available.

The CXM03B1Q firmware is available for download right now from our website (link here) and is recommended for users experiencing BSOD or hang issue when waking the computer up from hibernation mode.

As usual, we recommend backing up critical data before flashing.
