Telus will make the Samsung m620music phone available on the Canadian
market from now on too. The handset, also known as the "UpStage" in the US, is one of the most evolved solutions and comes in a slim and modern design.
Samsung m620 comes with the latest technology from a music phone for providing high sound
performances.
Although it is packed with all that a handset could use for this type of capabilities, Samsung m620 still has several weak points which make it lose points in front of other similar handsets.
The design of this phone is a highly futuristic one, as it comes with two sides ready for being used. It's like having a two-faced device, half phone and half MP3 player. The most impressive feature about its design is that Samsung m620 comes at only 9 mm in thickness. That is one of the highest performances registered until now in making mobile phones slim.
The fact that this
music phone does not manage to pack any other performances is the main reason for its thinness. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera and some of the basic capabilities of other average handsets. All it has to offer in order to compensate for this is a
futuristic design and music rendering features.
The memory on an MP3 player is one basic feature which should be a concern for the Samsung m620 handset too. This device comes with more than 50MB of internal memory, but that's not even nearly enough for acceptable use and will ask for a memory expansion card to be used.
Samsung m620 has been available in the US since March, this year, at Sprint. It will now come at Telus too, for the price of $350 with discounts for multi-year contracts. For this price, the device comes with a wired stereo headset, a 64MB memory card and a battery wallet with an additional battery.
