Beside its numerous other products (from 3D HDTVs to notebooks to refrigerators and beyond), Samsung is also known for manufacturing some pretty interesting printing solutions, and that's exactly the topic of the company's most recent announcement, the South Korean behemoth revealing no less than six new printers targeting the office environment.

The new printers can be divided into two different categories, namely multifunction machines (SCX-4835FR, SCX-5639FR and wireless SCX-5739FW) and models delivering a faster output and lower total cost of ownership, namely the ML-3312ND, ML-3712ND and ML-3712DW.

The first three models mentioned above pack plenty of interesting features, including here Secure Pull Printing that gives users the option to print to any device on their network while ensuring that only the specified user can collect the document, as well as a Reversal Automatic Document Feeder.

Additionally, they pack an Embedded Barcode Font feature for printing and scanning document barcodes without the need for a separate program to create the code.

Most of the printers come equipped with 600mHz dual core processor for faster operation, the ML-3712ND/DW, SCX-5639FR and SCX-5739FW attaining a speed of around 37ppm, while the SCX-4835FR and ML-3312ND reach 33ppm.

The ML-3712ND, ML-3712DW, SCX-5639FR, and SCX-5739FW also make use an extra high yield toner which lowers the cost per page, the ML-3312ND and SCX-4835FR toner cartridges yielding up to 2,000 and 5,000 pages, respectively.

“Samsung is anticipating the needs of our business customers as they continue to increase expectations for safer, more intuitive print options,” said Ken Colby, director of printer marketing at Samsung Electronics Enterprise Business Division, adding that “in our latest line of printers we are introducing features like anti-jam technology and Secure Pull Printing that are indispensable for a more efficient workplace.”

Despite of the fact that they target mostly the business segment (and thus provide a higher level of efficiency and reliability during use), the new printers from Samsung aren't actually that expensive, since the ML-3312ND, ML-3712ND, SCX-4835FR, and SCX-5639FR will be available this month for $199, $249, $449 and $549, respectively, while the ML-3712DW and SCX-5739FW will be available in March 2011 for $299 and $699, respectively.
