Samsung has unveiled this week a new music phone at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the slim clamshell SCH-A930. The new handset from Samsung tries to take on the Motorola ROKR E2 through a stylish design and
music controls on the front side of the flip.

It features a 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording capabilities, dual speakers for stereo sound allowing you to enjoy music outdoors, four-shade OLED external display and an internal LCD display. The SCH-A930 CDMA 800/1900 MHz compatible includes a TransFlash (microSD) expansion slot in addition to onboard memory, Bluetooth technology, and utilizes EV-DO for wireless data. While carrier availability has not been officially announced, the Samsung A930 wears the Verizon logo. Samsung said that the A930 is compatible with Video on Demand and Music on Demand, and the V CAST streaming services, including the new music download service.

The Samsung A930 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2006. Information about the price is not available yet.
