Telstra, the largest mobile operator in Australia, has recently released two new cool mobile phones to work on its Next G network: Samsung U900 Soul and LG KF700. The handsets are offered by Telstra under the names of Samsung U900T and LG KF700Q respectively. Both are sliders and both are available for retail prices of 879 Australian dollars (around 858 USD or 540 Euros).

Thanks to their HSDPA connectivity, the Samsung U900T and LG KF700Q will allow users to enjoy high data transfer speeds - up to 7.2 Mbps.

Sold in more than 1 million units worldwide (in only two months), Samsung U900 is a handset that combines the latest high-end features with a fashionable look in order to attract even the most capricious users. Among the features of U900T, we have a 2.2 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, a touch-sensitive navigation pad, mobile TV capabilities, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, face detection and flash, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music and Video players, FM radio, HTML browser, email, 100MB of internal memory and microSD card support.

LG KF700Q is also a high-end device, bringing a 3 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 480 pixels and 256K colors, a 3.15 Megapixel auto focus camera, Music player, Bluetooth, expandable memory and so on.

Samsung U900T and LG KF700Q come shortly after Telstra has released other two new phones for its Next G network: the nicely featured Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman and the Samsung A561 clamshell, both available as of July 7.

Talking about the four new handsets, Ross Fielding, Executive Director at Telstra Product Management, said: "These new additions were carefully selected to deliver the simple 1-click, 1-touch experience and integrated services our customers want. They bring the total number of handsets and personal digital assistants available on Telstra's Next G network to 50."
