For 400 Euros

Samsung U900 Soul, one of the nicest mobile phones to come from Samsung this year, will soon become available for users across the UK, Germany and France, for a retail price of 400 Euros (about $640), with other European countries to follow shortly after.

Initially announced in February during MWC 2008, Samsung U900 is the first phone from the Soul family, which also includes the candybar U800 and the clamshell G400.

Samsung U900 comes in a slider form factor, it weighs 112 grams and, when closed, it measures 105 x 49.5 x 12.9 millimeters, hence it's one of the slimmest sliders out there. Despite this, it packs lots of high-end features that make it one of the most advanced Samsung phones unveiled until now.

The main difference between U900 and other high-end phones is the fact that the Soul handset comes with a "Magical Touch" navigation touch pad instead of an ordinary directional pad. The touch-enabled pad provides users with a unique and at the same time intuitive mobile experience.

Besides the Magical pad, Samsung U900 also features a 2.2 inch display with 16 million colors and a 240 x 320 pixels resolution, HSDPA connectivity for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, Media player, email, Web browser, Bluetooh 2.0, FM radio, USB 2.0, Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology for high audio quality and so on. Moreover, the phone packs a high-end 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, Wide Dynamic Range, image stabilizer, face detection and video - a camera that will enable users to take good quality photos.

While its price makes Samsung Soul U900 a device that can't be owned by all the mobile users (as most of us can only afford cheaper phones), the handset is clearly one that almost everyone would like to have.
