Most fashionable mobile phones have turned purple, which shows that it's a catchy color for many people. Samsung U600 entered the mainstream, after also coming in pink, recently.

The change in colors that follows the trend and which is supposed to give the phone some extra amount of personality has a reason behind it. Samsung U600 is a fashion statement device that looks to bring style and elegance to its user almost instantly. The handset mostly targets the female audience, although its dark blue version could match very well in a man's style as well.

The most impressive aspect about this device is that it has only 10.9 mm in thickness, which makes it one of the slimmest slider phones out there. Although not 3G enabled, the pretty phone is also powerful and capable of responding to a large number of the user's communication needs. Samsung U600 includes GPRS and EDGE technology. Moreover, connectivity is also available through Bluetooth and USB.

The phone has a 3 megapixel camera, which should manage to take some high quality captures, above average. Its autofocus and flash bring it even closer to what regular digital cameras are capable of providing. The user can choose to send the images through MMS or email, although instant messaging is not supported.

Samsung U600 also takes care of the entertainment aspect, through a media player and FM radio. Another interesting aspect which might prove to be useful in some situations is that the phone also includes TV out for putting captures on the large screen of a TV set.

The phone will be available at Orange from the first of October. It will come for free on all 12 and 18 month contracts over 20 pounds per month, or 130 pounds on Pay As You Go contract. Aside from the purple version, this operator will also feature the pink Samsung U600.
