According to the latest news on the web, U.S. Cellular launched a new phone, the Samsung TwoStep (SCH-r470), which comes with all the basic features that an affordable handset should include. Music playback is possible thanks to a set of easy-to-use controls, while the sound quality is enhanced through the stereo speakers of the device.

The Samsung TwoStep (SCH-r470) comes with support for microSD memory cards of up to 8GB, allowing users to store and listen to a lot of music. In addition, a 1.3-megapixel camera can prove a handy solution anytime, anywhere, although it won't offer impressive capabilities. The phone is expected to hit the market in three colors, orange, purple and red.

The complete feature list of the Samsung TwoStep includes Bluetooth Wireless Technology, Text Messaging (SMS), Multimedia Messaging (MMS), Music Player with External Controls, Voice Recognition Services, External Stereo Speakers, Speakerphone, 1.3-Megapixel Camera, as well as up to 8 GB of microSD support.

The phone features a 2.0” internal display capable of providing a 176 x 220 pixel resolution and which comes with 262K color support. Its price is set at $49.95 with a 2-yr contract agreement, but it can also be acquired for free, in case users opt for a data plan that is of at least $39.99 per month.
