Following the impressive success that Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II already registered all around the world, Samsung is preparing for the launch of a new handset in the series, one that would be called ‘Galaxy Sleek.’

The South Korean mobile phone maker has already filed for trademarking the “Galaxy Sleek” name, Fusible notes. The trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office sports serial Number: 85480030.

The trademark does not state explicitly what the name will be attached to, but the application reveals that it would cover telephones, smart phones, mobile phones and tablet computers.

Given the name, one can easily suppose that Samsung would use it for a handset, one that might be thinner, lighter and more appealing that the Galaxy S II or the new Galaxy Nexus are.
