The handset vendor might attach them to new smartphones

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is securing trademarks for more names for devices included in its Galaxy lineup.

The latest of them are Galaxy Rush, Galaxy Amp, and Galaxy Helm, all of which popped up in filings over at USPTO.

No specific info on what these names will stand for has been provided so far, but it would be safe to assume that the handset vendor is getting ready for the launch of new smartphones in the series.

However, these are not the only Galaxy names that Samsung has trademarked lately, which makes us wonder whether they will indeed be attached to future mobile phones.

As usual, we could assume that the company is getting ready for new carrier-specific models of its devices, and that it would name them differently, to make things simple.
