South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is gearing up to unveil to the world something new on February 27th, the very day when this year’s MWC show kicks off in Barcelona.

The handset vendor has already put a teaser page for the event on its website, but did not offer specific info on what would be launched there.

One thing that we know for sure at the moment, however, is that the successor of Galaxy S II will not be present at the conference.

“Welcome to Samsung Tomorrow's Mobile World Congress 2012 page! In a few short days the conference will take place in Barcelona, Spain with mobile developers from around introducing all sorts of innovative new products,” the mobile phone maker notes on its website.

“Check back to this page once the event starts February 27th for information on the Samsung products unveiled at this year's MWC.”

Those who would like to have a look at a series of highlights from Samsung’s announcement at last year’s Mobile World Congress should have a look at the video embedded below.

Some of the latest rumors on the Internet suggested that Samsung might be set to unveil to the world both Android and Windows Phone devices at this year’s show in Spain.

In addition to these, we might also expect new bada devices to make an official appearance at the conference, since Samsung is betting a lot on its own mobile operating system.

At the moment, Samsung is teasing an official announcement of “what’s new from Samsung” for Monday, February 27th, at 9AM (CET). Those who will not be able to attend the event will find info on it online on the aforementioned webpage.

The next day, same hour, the company will deliver some updates on the mobile conference in Barcelona. On February 29th, Samsung will provide info on a series of developer events planned for this year’s MWC.
