Today, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless adds another LTE-capable smartphone to its offering, none other than the long-rumored Samsung Stratosphere.

The new device was already made official, and can now be admired in the first promo clip released from it, coming from Samsung themselves.

The Stratosphere is based on Google's Android operating system and is the first LTE smartphone on Verizon's network to pack a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The new device was unveiled as a Galaxy S phone, and will offer appealing features to its customers, including support for Google Mobile services and for applications available in the Android Market.

The handset packs a large 4-inch screen, a 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera on the back, MicroSD memory card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and the usual set of sensors. All for only $149 (around 110 Euros) with the signing of a contract agreement.
