South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has reportedly started to push out a security update for the owners of Galaxy S III devices in the UK.

Based on Android 4.1.2, the update is available as build JZO54K and is meant to resolve the security issue previously found to affect Samsung’s Exynos 4210 and 4412 powered devices.

At the moment, it is being pushed to Galaxy S III devices over-the-air, but it should reach other affected models as well in the not too distant future.

According to some, the update might also be meant to resolve the sudden-death issue that many Galaxy S III owners have been affected by, yet no confirmation on this has emerged so far.

The update is available only for devices running stock firmware, it seems. No specific info on when it will be released in other countries has been provided.
