Eagerly awaiting the official launch event for Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 operating system, mobile phone makers have published info on their first WP7 devices a few hours before the event would kick off.

We've already had the chance to take a look at the LG Optimus 7, which made a brief appearance on LG UK's website, and now we can enjoy a better look at the Samsung Omnia 7 (GT-I8700), which was pushed into the wild prematurely too.

Not only did Samsung publish some high-res images with the upcoming mobile phone, but the company also released into the wild a series of specifications for the new device, confirming some of the previous rumors on it.

Thus, the upcoming Omnia 7 (GT-I8700) should arrive on shelves with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display boasting a WVGA resolution, and with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, the handset vendor unveiled that Omnia 7 would pack Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity options, as well as A-GPS receiver.

The handset's specs list also includes 8GB of internal memory, without the possibility to add external storage into the mix, as well as a 1500mAh battery (which should deliver up to 520 minutes of talk time or up to 390 hours of standby time).

The upcoming mobile phone comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm’s QSD8250 processor, and not with the Samsung Hummingbird CPU, while sporting support for HSPA, as well as FM Radio with RDS.

Additional info on the specs list of the upcoming mobile phone can be extracted from the shot attached to the left, even if it is in Spanish (via mobiletechworld).

Details on the handsets exact arrival on the market are still missing at the moment, as well as those on the price tag it might feature when released, but it should not be too long before all of them are made official.
