Samsung's projector phone dubbed W7900, aka the Show, unveiled by the mobile phone maker at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago, has recently surfaced on the Web. The Show comes to us as the first projector phone to actually get built, and its specs show that it is a rather well-featured handset.

The Samsung W7900 comes with a 3.2-inch OLED screen able to deliver a 240x400 pixel resolution, and also includes a 5-megapixel camera along with digital TV tuner. These features are enough to make the handset successful among users, yet the manufacturer didn't stop here and added a digital projector able to deliver sharp, bright images up to 50 inches.

The DLP projector inside the Show is made by Texas Instruments, and its specifications include 10 lumens and the capability to deliver images with a 480x320 pixel resolution and up to 50-inch diagonal. The handset also includes a VGA front-facing camera for video calls as well as support for 3G HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps and global roaming (900/1800/1900 MHz).

The Samsung Show W7900 is expected to hit the market first in Korea. Logic Wireless might launch its projector phone called Logic Bolt as well, yet Show will remain the first such device to come to users.

For what it’s worth, Asian users will be the first to enjoy the capabilities of the Samsung Show, including watching movies or displaying photos on a big screen represented by any flat or semi-flat surface they are able to find. At the same time, it seems that the owners of a Samsung W7900 will also have the possibility to tune in and perhaps record digital TV broadcasts, as well as the ability to make video calls.

The mobile phone maker has not unveiled any information on a possible launch date for its projector phone, nor has it disclosed any details on its price. At the same time, it is still unknown whether it will be launched on other markets besides Asia.

The video below shows a little more on the Samsung W7900 projector phone.
