That’s twice faster than the previous Galaxy Note phablet

Samsung has just announced that its Galaxy Note 3 phablet has just hit the impressive 10 million units shipped within only two months since its launch.

Given the new numbers, it appears that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sold twice faster than its predecessor, which reached the same milestone after four months.

That being said, the Galaxy Note 3 is the most successful phablet in the series and the last handset to add to the huge list of Samsung phones that hit the 10 million sales barrier.

“Samsung Electronics has been making mobile phones since the 80's. As you know, that is a good chunk of history for the mobile phone industry. As we are closing out 2013, here at Samsung Tomorrow, we wanted to look back on this history with you.

“However, we understand the ‘history’ could be overwhelming for some people. Therefore, we have figured out a way to share the history of Samsung mobile phones more vividly. Infographics!

“As the beginning of this grand history project and as a celebration of the Galaxy Note 3’s recent achievement of selling more than 10 million units, we would like to present our beloved ‘10 million seller club’,” said Samsung in a press statement.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s achievement is very close to that of the Galaxy S4, which sold 10 million units in just 50 days, but the latter is not the most successful in the series.

Although the phablet has been released with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, Samsung is expected to offer an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade sometime next year.

If the major upgrade arrives in early 2014, it might boost Galaxy Note 3’s sales once again before Samsung launches the Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone, which is rumored to be released sometime in April / May.
