Wireless carrier Boost Mobile has just announced the release of Samsung Seek in Candy Apple Red on its airwaves, exclusively available for purchase via Boost Mobile at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores, with a price tag of $149.99 (excludes taxes) attached to it.

The Samsung Seek is the first touchscreen device at Boost Mobile to pack a slide-out QWERTY keypad, and was designed to provide users with fast access to enhanced messaging features, as well as to popular social networking sites.

The new device would be available for Boost Mobile customers on the Nationwide Sprint Network, the carrier announced.

“We are excited to partner with Best Buy to offer a new color version of an already successful device,” said Andre Smith, vice president, Boost Mobile.

“To continue our commitment to offer fun and versatility in Boost’s handset lineup, this red Seek is a great fit. Reviewers continue to rave about its touch-screen and slide-out QWERTY keypad.”

Some of the main features of Samsung Seek include a 2.6-inch QVGA touch-screen display to go with that slide-out QWERTY keypad, as well as a 1.3MP camera on the back.

Moreover, the handset comes with microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, GPS receiver, Bluetooth, Voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and call forwarding, Music player, and more.

Other features of Samsung Seek include:

- Wireless Web and e-mail access to Gmail, MSN, Yahoo! and more - Instant Messaging capable (Yahoo!, AIM and Windows Live Messenger) - Multimedia and text messaging capable - Speakerphone with voice recognition - Downloadable games, wallpapers and ringtones available for an additional fee

The new device flavor can be paired with the wireless carrier's Boost Mobile Monthly Unlimited with Shrinkage plan, which enables users shrink their monthly payments from $50 a month to $35 a month.

“For every six on-time payments, a customer’s monthly cost will shrink by $5, eventually getting down to $35 for unlimited voice, text messaging, Web, e-mail, IM and calls to 411. No contracts are required and there are no hidden fees,” the carrier announced.
