Although we're still waiting for Samsung to pull out the big guns at CES 2011, the Korean company keeps pushing out new and interesting products, the latest we've come across being the company's new SH100, a compact Wi-Fi enabled camera.

Without a doubt, the new compact digital camera's main selling point is the SH100’s unique innovation, which allows users to connect wirelessly to some of their other devices.

In fact, what's really interesting to report here is that this Wi-Fi solution can be used in order to connect the camera directly to one's Android-powered Galaxy S smartphone (most likely, the Galaxy Tab as well), so you can view the shot you’re about to take in real time on your phone or tablet, then control the camera from it, being able to zoom in or out or activate the shutter remotely.

The SH100’s built in Wi-Fi b/g/n module can also automatically back up your shots to your PC only by pushing two buttons, while the Wi-Fi connectivity also enables one to upload pictures instantly to social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa or Photo Bucket, or email them to individual email addresses straight from the camera.

Plus, if video is your thing, then you should know that you can also easily record HD video and share your favorite moments over sites such as YouTube.

Now, moving on to some technical specs, it's important to mention that the new camera from Samsung features an 1/2.33″ (Approx. 7.76mm) CCD, 14.2 Megapixel image sensor, accompanied by a SAMSUNG Lens f = f4.7-23.5mm (f26∼130m 35mm film equivalent), that enables zoom levels of up to 5X.

We'll also have to mention that the camera measures 93mm x 53.9mm x 18.9mm and records movie clips with a maximum size of 35MB and a maximum image size of 10MB.

Additional Samsung-specific features provided by the compact digital camera include the Smart Auto 2.0, Smart Filter 2.0, Self Portrait, Face Recognition, Beauty Shot and Out-focus Portrait.

Pricing for the Wi-Fi enabled Samsung SH100 has been set at a cool 200 US dollars, but, unfortunately, you won't be able to get your hands on it just yet, since the camera is slated to officially arrive in stores at some point in March 2011.
