T-Mobile was reported to extend its offering with quite a few new good-looking handsets, and Samsung's SGH-t119 is among them. The phone was announced to come to the carrier's lineup at CES 2009 as an entry-level candybar cell phone. Basically, this device is promoted as being a rather affordable solution that meets the needs of those who want to stay in touch with their close ones.

The Samsung SGH-t119 comes with support for T-Mobile's myFaves service and also includes a built-in speakerphone that enables owners to talk with their friends while using the hands-free and also share the call with others hassle-free. The handset comes with Multimedia Messaging capabilities through which customers can send messages or share pictures, graphics and sounds with their contacts.

The Web2go services are also integrated with the phone, which sports Instant Messaging over AOL, ICQ, Windows Live and Yahoo!, enabling customers to stay in touch with their friends while on the road. An integrated web browser offers access to Internet. The movement and input of the SGH-t119 can be controlled through a 5-Way Keypad. The phone comes with a Li-Ion battery, but no details on the talk or standby times have been announced.

The handset is stated to come with a wide 1.6 inch TFT display that delivers a 128 x 128 pixel resolution and supports 65,000 colors. The candybar offers dual-band support, GSM 850/1900MHz, it also comes with GPRS/EDGE, and it measures 104.1mm x 45.7mm x 15.2mm (4.1″ x 1.8″ x .6″), weighing only 76.5g (2.7oz).

T-Mobile and Samsung announced that the phone would become available in February 2009, yet no information on its price has been unveiled yet. It should be interesting to see how this low-end handset appeals to customers considering the other devices T-Mobile announced for them.
