The IFA Berlin show has been over the last few days an excellent occasion for many handset producers to roll out their new devices. Samsung took this opportunity to officially announce their SGH-i620 handset and all the special features that it has to offer.

This is one of the few handsets coming from Samsung with Windows Mobile 6 and QWERTY keypad. It might sound like the classic smartphone recipe, but this producer really has a passion for slider phones and added some extra spice to the concept. Samsung SGH-i620 is a slider phone packed with all the performances that the most evolved smartphones out there are capable of providing.

The most impressive thing about it is that the device comes in some pretty slim sizes, at only 95 x 59 x 16 mm. Sure, it might look rather wide, especially when closed, but with these capabilities and the full QWERTY keypad, it's the best that things can get.

Samsung SGH-i620 works in GSM and UMTS 2100 networks, which will make it compatible with the demands of many carriers out there. Although this is meant to be a music player mobile, this device is capable of packing some other evolved features.

High speed data transfer speeds will be available through the 3G HSDPA connectivity, as well as video-calling applications. The phone also includes a 2 megapixel camera meant to satisfy image and video captures and also a secondary one for placing video calls.

Samsung SGH-i620 runs on Windows Mobile 6, which means that it also includes the most evolved applications for media management and communication. This includes Windows Media Player Mobile, Windows Live, Internet Explorer Mobile and Microsoft Direct Push Email. The personal data can be stored on the internal space of 80 MB or on the microSD card which will surely prove to be useful.

Vodafone Germany will be the operator to bring Samsung SGH-i620 on the market in September. The company has already added this device on its "coming soon" website page, which means that the phone will hit its stores in the near future.
