For the patriotic Samsung buyers

A limited edition of the Samsung SGH-Z240 model will be available for this year's edition of the National Parade held at Marina Bay. The handsets will come with specific content as to match the celebration.

Samsung has partnered with M1 in order to make it possible to bring the unique theme on this mobile phone. Samsung SGH-Z240 will have the National Day 2007 theme song ringtone, "Will you". Besides, it will also have special wallpapers included which are not available on regular handsets. This will naturally be in line with the ringtones and with the celebration.

As if evil-minded persons might want to replicate the themes on other Samsung SGH-Z240 handsets, the buyers will also receive a certificate which will ensure them that this is indeed the original thing. That is pretty much it and users would better hurry and purchase their own special device with these features installed as soon as possible, before the National Parade ends.

"Samsung is excited to present Singapore's first National Day handset in celebrating this milestone event, as the Parade takes to Marina Bay for the first time. We hope users will enjoy capturing their special National Day moments with the limited edition SGH-Z240, and take home a memento of this significant occasion", said Mr. Ki-Heung Yoon, Managing Director at Samsung Asia.

"Moreover, "NDP@Marina Bay 2007 presents a unique, enriching experience to all Singaporeans and M1, together with Samsung, is really proud to celebrate this momentous occasion with our first-ever National Day handset!" said Sharon Tan, Director, Consumer Marketing at M1.

What are the chances of people standing in lines just to get their own Marina Bay personalized Samsung SGH-Z240? Not very high, although Samsung's initiative is only worthy of appreciation, as they have thought to honor this day with a special phone model release. The limited edition phones will be available at M1 shops and Exclusive Distributors starting with the 14th of July.
