How difficult can it be to come up with a new phone design?

Samsung has developed a new phone model which scores big time when it comes to good looks. Probably just as good as the LG Prada phone, as the Samsung SGH-P520 handset looks just like its competitor's phone model.

Putting aside the Samsung logo and some incredibly slight differences in the buttons, this new phone model looks identical to the LG Prada handset. At a first look, there is one button missing in the Samsung SGH-P520 phone and that is where differences stop.

Going past the first look, specifications for this device show it to be somewhat different, with several advantages, but drawbacks too. First of all, its sizes are incredibly small, as it comes at 88 x 54 x 8.9 mm. Although sizes show it to be smaller than the LG Prada phone, the Samsung one is heavier, at 102 grams, which proves the fact that it manages to pack some high technology in it.

The 2.6 inch touchscreen display is smaller than that of the Prada phone, but, then again, all the handset's sizes are reduced, so it's quite natural to see this happen. Other specifications for Samsung SGH-P520 show it to have an internal memory of 50 MB and also a microSD expansion slot. The phone also packs Bluetooth, WiFi and TV out performances.

Another point where Samsung's device manages to surpass LG's Prada phone is that of the camera. The SGH-P520 comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera, capable of performances above the average, when compared to the 2 megapixel one of the other device.

The ultimate statement in making a choice between the two handsets will probably rest in the compared price. Unfortunately, Samsung has made no specifications on the date that their SGH-P520 phone will be available or the price that it will come at.
