Because the release of a re-painted mobile phone was inevitable, the
SGH-A707 multimedia flip phone is now available in red (maybe for Valentine's day?).
Don't think that the phone brings any new features because it doesn't. But it is always nice to have some extra colors to choose
from when looking for a mobile phone, and this is not the first or last time that manufacturers release their already available phones in other colors.
The quad-band SGH-A707 includes a 2 megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording capabilities (the phone can record up to one hour of video), AIM/MSN/Yahoo instant messaging, Bluetooth with stereo headset support, touch-sensitive music dedicated keys and a media player.
Music enthusiasts out there will also be able to sync the phone with their Napster and Yahoo Music tunes, and in case they are simply bored with the stored music, the phone also comes with MobiTV and MobiRadio support as well as Cingular Video.
Other features include HSPDA support, a speakerphone and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion that will allow the storage of quite a decent number of tracks. Basically, the
Samsung SGH-A707 seems to be a very fun mobile phone, and doesn't look bad either, be it in red or black.
The red version of the A707 will fortunately not come with a higher price than the original version and is now available on Cingular with a price tag of $50 on a two-year service agreement. If you're not specifically fond of service agreements, the phone retails for $250.
