AT&T will soon add Samsung SGH-A517 to its mobile phone lineup, adding some style and average performances to the handset users in North America. The greatest thing about it will surely be the small price, which should make it accessible to a great number of people.

Samsung SGH-A517 is a slim and stylish clamshell that works in the quad-band GSM/EDGE network. It's more of a middle ranged handset that can handle only the basic needs that handset users might have. The 1.3 megapixel camera is way below the average performances of other cameras out there, but it's great that users will be able to take captures, nevertheless.

The 2.1 inch display is rather small and might leave a cramming impression to its user. Still, the phone's sizes might be quite satisfying, at 94 x 48 x 15 mm in sizes and 82 grams in weight. This makes it compact and easy to handle, one feature that many people might thrill over.

The phone also comes equipped with an external display, for easy access of its main functions. Furthermore, Samsung SGH-A517 also includes Bluetooth, instant messaging and email performances, along with a microSD card, for expanding the data storage memory.

One great feature about this phone is the fact that it brings support for a large number of AT&T's services. This includes the Mobile Music service as well as MobiTV and MobiRadio, which should take care of the owner's entertainment, just as many other more evolved handsets are capable of doing.

Samsung SGH-A517 will be available at AT&T from now on, for the price of USD 50, with a new 2 year contract. This should make the greatest advantage that the phone is capable of offering, as its basic features come for an extremely small price.
