After the Samsung D880 dual SIM phone, the manufacturer brings forth a dual network one, half as impressive, but still pretty useful. Such technologies are usually seen in Asia and only rarely make their way into the lineup of major handset producers for a launch on other continents.

The only advantage that this slider phone has to bring over any other similar ones is the fact that it supports both GSM and CDMA networks. It's not one of the most sought after features, given the fact that only few small vendors in Asia include it in their devices. Still, there are many situations when it could turn out to be useful. Those who tend to travel pretty often will be able to effortlessly switch from one network to another with the same mobile phone.

Another advantage driven from this phone's support for both GSM and CDMA networks is that Samsung could sell it on any market. Such handsets have all that it takes for a global release and are attractive for businessmen that tend to travel a lot. The stylish form factor matches an official suit perfectly.

Still, Samsung SCH-W619 feels a bit bulky when compared to what the latest handsets are offering. At 18.5 mm in thickness and 120 grams in weight, the slider is a bit large, but that's just to pack all the great features. It also has a 2.3 inch screen capable of a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, one that will probably look splendid. The 2 megapixel camera, on the other hand, will fail to impress anyone, but might still prove to be useful in some situations. There's also an MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity and a microSD card slot, for the extra memory needed to store personal files.

Samsung Anycall SCH-W619 targets especially the Asian market, given its name. Still, it could very well handle a global release, as it can work both in GSM and CDMA, the two most widespread networks around the world.
