Although last week Samsung Canada promised it would start deploying the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Galaxy S III on December 3, it looks like the update is now live and ready to be downloaded and installed.

According to MobileSyrup, some Galaxy S III owners who purchased their devices via Rogers, Bell, TELUS and Virgin Mobile, have already started to receive the update.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S III is currently pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all owners might get it at the same time.

However, Galaxy S III users in Canada can manually check for this Jelly Bean update by going to Settings / About phone / System software updates / Check now. In case the update is not available yet, Galaxy S III users should check for it later.
