South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has managed to resolve a vulnerability in its Samsung Account feature, and it is planning the delivery of a software update to affected devices.

Apparently, the vulnerability affected devices such as Samsung Galaxy S4 and was said to have appeared due to the transmission of account details without any encryption, SamMobile explains.

Owners of the smartphone, as well as those who own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, should consider changing the password for their accounts as soon as possible.

However, with the handset vendor planning to patch the issue on these two devices and possibly on others that have been affected, users should receive a software update in the not too distant future. Unfortunately, no official info on this has been provided, but stay tuned for more on the matter.
