The recently uncovered Samsung CDMA series of phones comprises devices that come with an inter-operable capability that offers a three-way network possibility. Such mobiles may represent the path to be followed in the future, since the great variety of options seems to be very appealing to users.

The main idea is that these phones, the MPower 569 and the MPower 309, have the ability to adapt to different network settings of the preprogrammed service operator, in this case between Reliance Mobile, Tata Indiancom and Virgin mobile, once the respective operator's SIM card is introduced in the device. Through such features, users will find it much easier to use their devices in different countries and areas, now being able to enjoy a far greater coverage with a single phone.

Sunil Dutt, Samsung's telecom division country head, declared, concerning the innovative mobiles, that "The MPower series is unique in that they allow the users to seamlessly shift between any of the three CDMA operators. By making the phones available in the open market, we are making our phones available to a wider base of CDMA consumers."

Moving on to the more conventional specs, the MPower 569 is equipped with a 2 Megapixel camera, FM recording capabilities, Bluetooth with stereo headset and expandable up to 4 GB memory. In essence, this is an advanced multimedia-featured phone, meant to offer a pleasant and entertaining experience, by making use of the equalizer and surround sound. Moreover, the device comes with a 2.1'' LCD color screen, a document viewer application and video recording capabilities.

The next Samsung CDMA mobile, the MPower 309 packs very similar capabilities, except that it comes with only a 1.3 Megapixel camera and a 1.9'' TFT screen. Other than this, the features of the two handsets are exactly the same.

Furthermore, besides being equipped with an anti-theft feature incorporated in the mobile tracker, the two cells offer the data card function when connected to a computer via a USB cable or through the Bluetooth wireless connection. As a result, memory cards may not be a necessary requirement.

Costing around Rs 9900 (the 539) and Rs 6300 (the 309), the devices seem like a pretty good catch, especially considering the famous brand name they're carrying.
