Samsung kicked off the rollout of the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 last week, but only a few European countries got it initially. In fact, the update is only available in Poland, but other countries may follow soon.

That being said, it looks like Samsung has recently released the source kernel for the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3.

This wouldn’t have happened unless Samsung was determined to bring the update to all countries where the Galaxy Note 3 was officially introduced.

Keep in mind that the newly released Android 4.4 KitKat source kernel for Galaxy Note 3 is only available for the N9005 model.

Those who wish to create customized ROMs for the Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) can now download the source kernel via Samsung’s Open Source Release Center.
