Next time the company might just unleash a full 4K screen

I have just written about the upcoming 65/55-inch Samsung 4K UHD TVs, but anyone thinking that those are the only things up Samsung's sleeve is in for a surprise.

It turns out that Samsung is also preparing a laptop screen with a native resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels, or QHD.

That's better than the Apple iPad, MacBook Pro and Retina Pro 2560 x 1600 pixels, and also better than the Google Chromebook Pixel screen (2560 x 1700 pixels).

Given the screen diagonal of 13.3 inches, it is probable that Samsung made the new screen for high-resolution ultrabooks.

If so, demo products could crop up as early as June (Computex Taipei) or at least during IFA Berlin in August.

No clue yet how much will be added to the price of whatever laptops end up using the screen.
