Showcased during the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Samsung R910 has just made its appearance at the MetroPCS online store. Also known as Samsung Forte, the device will be retailed by the carrier under the Galaxy branding, as the smartphone has been dubbed Galaxy Indulge.

According to the Korean manufacturer, Galaxy Indulge is its first LTE (Long Term Evolution) compatible smartphone.

It is still unclear if the device will also be available through other US carriers, as Samsung suggested at CES 2011.

Initially, Samsung Forte was slated for a Verizon release, but it seems that MetroPCS will get it first, just under a different name.

As the smartphone’s information page mentions, Samsung Galaxy Indulge runs Android 2.2, despite rumors that stated the device might feature a more recent 2.2.1 build.

The Galaxy Indulge is powered by a 1GHz processor and it comes with a 3.2-megapixels camera, although there's no mention of autofocus and/or LED flash.

In addition to the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Indulge is said to feature hotspot capabilities that go along with the included Wi-Fi connectivity, even though there's no mention of the feature yet.

The R910 will be the second LTE phone to join the MetroPCS offering after the carrier introduced Samsung R900 Craft last year in September.

It comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen with 320 x 480 pixels resolution and it features AWS support that makes it compatible with MetroPCS' network.

Samsung Galaxy Indulge is the second 4G LTE enabled device available from MetroPCS after Samsung R900 Craft was launched last year. The R900 Craft can still be purchased from MetroPCS for $249 after a $50 mail in rebate.

Furthermore, it seems MetroPCS had quite a demand for the Galaxy Indulge as the smartphone is not available online anymore, but can be bought from the carrier's stores instead.

Samsung Galaxy Indulge can be purchased from local MetroPCS Stores for $399.00 with $50 Unlimited Plan activation.
