Samsung has recently admitted that the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for some of its smartphones has brought in a connectivity issue that now affects most users who have upgraded and are relying on Outlook for their email, contacts and calendar.

The so-called “Outlook sync issue” has been reported by numerous users since Android 4.3 update went live for Samsung Galaxy S4 earlier this month.

Unfortunately, it appears that the issue is not restricted to Galaxy S4 models, as users who own other Samsung smartphones that have been upgraded to Android 4.3 report that they can’t sync their devices with Outlook anymore.

The good news is that the folks over at TechRadar have contacted Samsung and they have been informed by the company’s officials that a solution is in the works:

“In the near future, an improved Kies tool which will also support ‘Outlook sync’ will be released. This new version of Kies 3.0 will be available in due course from www.samsung.com.”

No word on the exact release date for the new Samsung Kies tool, but we expect it to be available by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
