Samsung has many division, each of which accounts for some of its revenue, and it looks like most of them didn't do as well as the company may have hoped during Q3. 2011.

Samsung was able to make profits during the July-September period, but this didn't turn out to be an overly impressive feat.

This is because, once the final tally was made, the profit itself turned out to be quite low compared to the ones of the same period of 2010.

The exact percentage of the decrease was 13%, since every segment except the mobile lagged behind what Samsung hoped.

More specifically, the operating profit of the phone division was $2.3 billion, about the same as 1.62 billion Euro.

TV demand should rise in Q4, along with smartphones, while OLED panels and PC memory will sell less.
