It looks like Samsung Omnia W is heading to Canadian shores after it went official in the United States earlier this month as Samsung Focus Flash.

The smartphone has just been spotted at FCC (Federal Communication Commission) by the folks over at Engadget.

However, this time it appears that the phone has been gifted with WCDMA and HSPA support over the 850 MHz network, which indicates that the Korean handset manufacturer plans to release the device in Canada.

The phone has been filed at FCC as Samsung GT-I8350T, whereas the original model is known as GT-I8350, which is another proof that this is another version of the Samsung Omnia W.

There's no telling when the phone might be introduced in Canada, and which carrier will offer it, but it's possible to see this one carried by multiple operators by the end of the year.

Samsung Omnia W would be Canada's first smartphone to be delivered with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango at launch, if the device is available before Nokia's handsets arrive in stores early next year.

The Omnia W is an interesting device, especially when put against other Windows Phone devices available in the market.

The Windows Phone 7.5 Mango platform is not the only strong point of the smartphone, as Omnia W offers users a more than decent 3.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

In addition, the device embeds several sensors, including accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Gyro sensor.

Equipped with a single core 1.4 GHz processor, the Samsung Omnia W is among the most powerful WP7 devices available in the market.

Although it does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion, the handset offers 8G B storage and 512 MB of RAM.
