According to some of the latest news on the Internet, the recently leaked Samsung B7610 Louvre could actually be the same device as the Samsung Omnia Pro that was spotted for the first time about two or three months ago. Although some voices on the Web referred to the handsets as two different devices, there are some details that sustain the idea that they represent the same mobile phone.

First of all, it seems that the South Korean mobile phone maker published some press photos of the Louvre on its website but referred to the device as the Omnia Pro. At the same time, the specification list of the Louvre, which made it into the wild not too long ago, seem to be about the same specs that the Omnia Pro is expected to come to the market with.

For those who might not know it just yet, the Samsung Louvre / Omnia Pro is said to feature a 3.5-inch AMOLED resistive touchscreen display that boasts a WVGA resolution, a 5.1-megapixel photo snapper that comes with auto-focus and LED flash, a sliding QWERTY keypad, an 800MHz processor, WIFI/HSDPA/HSUPA/Bluetooth connectivity options, and GPS receiver.

In addition, the device should also include two user interfaces, a Pro and a Media one, with a dedicated button that allows for a fast switch between them, TV-OUT, 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroUSB, FM Radio, DNLA support, Divx/WMV/H.264 accelerations, 1GB of internal memory, microSDHC memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, as well as a 1500mAh battery.

The Samsung Louvre / Omnia Pro should come to the market running under the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. According to the news, it should become available sometime in October (previous reports pointed towards September or November), yet we'll still have to hear an official word to see whether we're talking about a single mobile phone or two.
