Samsung i900 Omnia, the high-end Pocket PC launched by the South Korean company back in July, is now available across Romania, offered by HAT Group.

Coming as one of the latest Samsung Pocket PCs, the Omnia runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System and brings a wide range of high-end features that should answer the needs of about any mobile user out there.

Omnia first attracts through its elegant look and its large 3.2 TFT touchscreen display that supports up to 65K colors and a 240 x 400 pixel resolution. Another one of the handset's highlights is its 5 Megapixel camera that comes with auto focus, image stabilizer, face detection, flash and video recording, so that users can have a unique "mobile photography" experience.

Furthermore, Samsung's new Pocket PC features: accelerometer for auto rotation, a TouchWiz User Interface, optical mouse, quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), HSDPA 2100, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS and A-GPS, Office Mobile, push email, Instant Messaging, full HTML browser, TV out, Video player with DivX and XviD support, Music player, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, handsfree and so on.

Measuring only 12.5 millimeters in thickness, Samsung Omnia relies on a Marvell PXA312 processor at 624 MHz and includes a 1440 mAh battery that should be able to keep it alive for up to 5.8 hours in talk-time mode, or up to 500 hours in stand-by mode.

The new Samsung Pocket PC has two versions: one that offers 8GB of internal memory and one that offers 16GB, just like Apple's iPhone. Unlike the iPhone, though, Omnia also has a microSD/SDHC card slot, so its total storage space can be expanded up to 16 or 24 GB.

The exact retail price of i900 Omnia for the Romanian market was not announced, but it should be somewhere over $600 (430 Euros).
