Samsung and LG looked like they were going to start something similar to the Apple-Samsung war for a while, but they decided to settle things out of court.

Now, Samsung has officially ended its quest for retribution in the OLED debacle.

While last week's report said that all outstanding complaints would be dropped on both sides, the company has only now gotten around to doing so to the injunction request against LG Display in South Korea.

The motion was filed with the Seoul Central District Court and is the first positive move in the last few months since the feud started.

LG will probably drop some of its own display patent charges, then Samsung will go through some more, and so on until everything is calm again. Probably by next month or so.
