South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung reportedly denied all rumors regarding the upcoming availability of a Nexus Two smartphone coming from it. According to the leading handset vendor, these rumors are “simply not true.”

Rumors on a possible Google phone from Samsung emerged into the wild a few months ago, but gained more substance only recently, when it was pointed out that the new device might be launched as Nexus Two.

This would mean that Samsung and Google have been working together for the launch of a new Android-based mobile phone that would become the second Nexus device on the market.

The first such handset, the Nexus One, was released in early 2010 with Android 2.1 on board, and was sold for a limited period of time only via Google's web store.

However, the Internet giant shut down the online portal in summer, and had it replaced with the Google Phone Gallery, which displays all of the Android devices on the market today, along with the carriers that have them.

Moreover, when closing down the said web store, Google announced that it would not come to the market with a Nexus Two smartphone.

Even so, rumors on the upcoming availability of Nexus Two from Samsung became stronger lately, and they culminated with an article on Gizmodo, claiming that the device already made an appearance into the wild, and that the first live details on it surfaced.

According to the said story, the Nexus Two by Samsung would arrive on shelves with Android 2.3 on board, and should be a Galaxy S device.

Rumor has it that the device would be unveiled officially on November 8th during a press event in New York.

However, Samsung claims that the said event is actually meant to make the Samsung Continuum official, an Android-based device expected to be released on the US market on Verizon Wireless' airwaves, as Samsung Hub reports.

This device would sport two displays, with a smaller screen placed under the main display, and aimed at showing email notifications, time, weather and the like.
