New release date of the product will be announced in due time

It appears that Samsung and Google decided to delay the upcoming announcement of the allegedly Nexus Prime device.

Both companies issued a combined statement that simply says that the product launch they had planned for CTIA 2011 next week, won't be happening according to the initial schedule.

Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”

Even though the short statement does not reveal the real reasons of the delay one may think that the recent passing away of Steve Jobs might have something to do with the launch of an iconic product from a competing brand.

If that's the case, we can safely assume that at least Ice Cream Sandwich will be introduced by the end of November, as Eric Schmidt promised.
